What you'll need:
- key(s)
- acrylic paint
- thin and medium paint brushes
- sharpie (optional)
- Spray sealant or top coat nail polish
When you begin, don't take the paper backing off new keys. For old keys, obviously put down a piece of paper. I usually use bristol board.
If the paper backing is on, it's easy to paint the edges. You could double-sided-tape to a piece of bristol or poster board.
So, paint the key! (one base color- don't try to be intricate... yet)
It only take a couple minutes to dry. then you can go over it with your design. I choose a squirrel and a bird. They were pretty easy... BUT *** if you mess up and need to start over, nail polish remover works like a charm***
Now we need to seal it. I used OPI's Rapid-Dry Top Coat, but next time, I'll spray it.
Super easy, rainy day, good for kids project!
